Description

Finally Change WordPress Usernames — Safely and Instantly

WordPress permanently locks usernames after registration. Username Changer breaks through this limitation, giving you full control over user identities without losing any data.

By TRS Plugins | Pro ⭐ | Docs | Privacy Policy

Why You Need This Plugin

WordPress locks usernames by default — but mistakes happen, conventions change, and security sometimes requires a reset. Username Changer lets you update any username instantly, directly from the user profile page, with zero data loss.

  • Fix registration typos in seconds
  • Standardize usernames across your organization
  • Update compromised or generic usernames like “admin”
  • Resolve username conflicts when merging or migrating sites

Trusted solution since 2011 with continuous updates and improvements.

Who Is It For?

WordPress Agencies
Standardize client usernames across multiple sites, fix migration errors, and maintain professional naming conventions at scale.

Security-Conscious Site Owners
Quickly update usernames if security concerns arise. Rotating away from “admin” is one of the easiest hardening steps you can take.

Community & Membership Sites
Allow members to update their own usernames, resolve disputes, and keep directories clean and consistent.

Content Sites with Multiple Authors
Works seamlessly with Co-Authors Plus and other author plugins. Update usernames without breaking content associations.

Turned into spamware

Started spamming my admin pages after years of no problems and had to remove from site

Do not spam all admin pages with ad

Slava Abakumov އޯގަސްޓް 27, 2026 1 reply
This isn’t nice to spam every single admin page with a promo banner about your new plugin. Please don’t do that. The whole admin area isn’t your ad space. Your own plugin internal admin pages are.

Spamming my dashboard

zactix އޯގަސްޓް 26, 2026 1 reply
did the job but now spamming. I suspect someone else bought this plugin and is using it to spam their new products. Irritates the crap out of me when people do this.

Uninstalling due to Incessant Promos

Adam J. Jacobi އޯގަސްޓް 26, 2026 1 reply
This was a solid plugin until my WP Admin backend became inundated with incessant promos for other DigitalMe plugins, such as WPRankLab, ActiveWoo, and ActiveMemb. I dismiss one, and another shows the next time I log in. I guess it’s time to find another Username changer plugin — AND — to NEVER patronize anything associated with DigitalMe.

Big unwanted promo for another plugin

Steve Burge އޯގަސްޓް 25, 2026 1 reply
The latest version of this plugin shows a large promo banner for an entirely unrelated plugin called WPRankLab.There’s no message about how the promo got into our site. There’s not even a line such as “You liked our plugin X. You might like our new plugin called Y.”We had to hunt down the fact that it came from this plugin.

Poor Taste Promos

roadsunknown އޯގަސްޓް 25, 2026 1 reply
The plugin was simple. Seemingly, it was acquired or rebranded. The first impression out of the gate was to display at least 3 “ads” to download the other DigitalME plugins. Short-sighted, poor form. I’m tempted to just clone the plugin out of annoyance. But at least it was acknowledged in the changelog, so 3 of 5. 5 for the plugin, -2 for the promotional admin banners.Changelog:– Added: DigitalME plugin setup wizard and promotional admin banners
