Service Fabric v12 will be released in summer of 2026 with support Visual Studio 2026 and .NET 10.

Visual Studio 2026 doesn't have the Service Fabric tooling included by default. We will release it to the Visual Studio Marketplace and include links to install it with the future releases in addition to the links for the SDK and the Runtime packages that already have to be installed.

We will not support .NET 10 in production workloads until the Service Fabric Runtime and SDK v12 are released. However, based on what we know so far, our .NET 8 assemblies will work on .NET 10. You can build .NET 10 apps in Visual Studio 2022 if you install the .NET 10 SDK and test .NET 10 apps in non-production environments with the latest Service Fabric Runtime v11 and Service Fabric SDK v8.
