Overview

Administration and Policy in Mental Health and Mental Health Services Research is an interdisciplinary, international journal focused on improving mental health services through research.

  • Publishes peer-reviewed, original empirical research articles, meta-analyses, and systematic reviews.
  • Welcomes manuscripts on children and adults, addressing mental health needs, disparities, and care, and including alcohol and substance use.
  • Covers, but is not limited to, implementation and effectiveness of services, measure development, economics of mental health services, managed mental health care, implementation of services; economics and financing of care; measurement-based quality improvement; digital mental health; (inter)organizational, structural and policy levers for change, and academic-community-government partnerships to bridge research-practice-policy.
  • Encourages adherence to well-accepted guidelines for rigor and transparency in conducting and reporting studies.
