Excel Filter Formula Help
MS Support Community, I have a search field that looks for specific data in a large amount of data. I have the users only able to view the columns that they need by using the CHOOSECOLS function. The formula has multiple search options and if nothing matches it is supposed to put "No Vessel Found" in the field, but it is just giving me a "VALUE! error in the field. The formula is below and I have been kicking myself trying to figure this out...any help would be appreciated. =CHOOSECOLS(FILTER(Vessel_List,ISNUMBER(SEARCH(C5,Vessel_List[IMO Number]))+ISNUMBER(SEARCH(C5,Vessel_List[Vessel Name]))+ISNUMBER(SEARCH(C5,Vessel_List[Linked to (if known)])),"No Vessel Found"),3,4,8,9). How to stop MS Word from saving doc and pdf files to the cloud
I'm on Windows 10 and Office 365. When I hit F12 on an MS Word file and save it as a .docx file or a .pdf file in a OneDrive folder: (1) the file does not immediately appear in the folder. (2) when it does appear, after more than 5 minutes later, it's on the cloud and it has be downloaded. (3) saving has become a lot slower. I'm not sure when I first noticed this but it has been a while. I've gone to File > Options > Save > Unchecked "Show additional places for saving, even if sign-in may be required". How do I prevent that? It slows everything down.
Countif/Countifs
I'm trying to do a standard countifs formula for several columns of information. Each column is using the same criteria but has different ranges. I'm trying to make an equation that will be easy to drag so I do not have to rewrite the range each time. Does anyone know how to do this? I have cells with the prewritten ranges I'll want to use. I can give more information if that helps people understand.
Excel High CPU Behavior
Excel starts behaving crazy when CPU is high. It causes the workbook to freeze, become non-responsive or start doing funny things it has never done before. This has been an issue since I started working in Excel over 20 years ago. Surely there is a way for Excel Engineers to figure out a way for excel to safeguard itself when CPU is high to keep this from happening. I work in big sheets big data all day and it gets very frustrating.
Excel desktop application crashes when trying to share or copy link
For the last couple of weeks when I've attempted to share an Excel file from the desktop app (multiple different files) the application crashed and closes out. The file are all saved to my personal OneDrive. It only seems to affect the files from my SharePoint, and only when trying to share through the desktop app. I can open it on the web version and share. I tried sharing a file that was opened through a SharePoint site and it seemed to work.Microsoft forms and external upload files possible?
Good afternoon, We as a company want to create forms that our customers can fill in with the data we need. Like plans and technical drawings. I hoped that it would be possible to create these forms, but when i try to add the upload file question I need to change the settings to only internal. Is there no possibility to create forms that have the request of uploading files from external parties we send the link to? Kind regards, CarinaForms: Time input question
In Office 365 Forms, I am attempting to create an event request form. I do not appear to be able to add a question for TIME of Day. I see a template for DATE but not TIME. In Google Forms "include Time" is an option for Date Questions in the contextual sub-menu. Is there someplace to add this function perhaps that I am missing? Ultimately I would like to add a script to the form that would auto-create an Outlook Calendar event on a shared calendar at the date and time on the form submission.
IF, AND, AVERAGE help!
Hi All, I am really stuck and would very much appreciate some help, please! I need to find the average of a range of data when there are specific "material" types in two different columns. For example, I want to know if Material A is in range A1:A10 and Material B is in B1:B10 then average the related data in range C1:C10... does that make sense? Here is an excerpt below of real data... I want to find the average where the secondary material is 'Concrete Fines' has been used with the Primary Material 'Type 1 LS' and find the average of the % Used. I need to do this for all the different types of Primary and Secondary Material which may be mixed. After the recent 365 apps, a few users in our organization are experiencing an issue with accessing emails on the Microsoft Outlook (New). When we click on the Outook(New) icon and it opens and redirects to Edge window to access emails. I tried several troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue and submitted a case with Microsoft Support but not helpful so far. Anyone else experiencing the same problem ? I have two sets of data that need to be reconciled. Specifically, I’m trying to identify which combinations of numbers from these datasets can sum up to a specific target value. Additionally, the reconciliation should only consider entries that fall within a defined time range—from approximately 8:00 AM on one day to 10:00 PM the following day. I’ve tried using Solver and Goal Seek, but the results don’t seem accurate. I also attempted using Microsoft Copilot, but the outcome still appears incorrect. I have a shared spreadsheet where coordinators enter staff codes for particular tasks they would like them to do (it's not a timesheet, just a future planning tool). I have set up a data validation to warn them if they enter a staff code that is not in the list, however if someone leaves after their code has been entered, the validation doesn't re-check so the now-invalid code remains happily in the spreadsheet. I need the cells to highlight if the staff code is not in the list. Does anyone know if this is possible? Currently, I need to search for each code as someone leaves and manually remove them from the spreadsheet and then ask coordinators to re-enter new values. It would be great if it would just flag them in red when I remove them from the staffing list and coordinators can see if there is (now) an error that needs fixing. I have an excel sheet with one column which contain urls from sharepoint, the urls looks as follow:- /sites/Marketing/Budget /sites/Marketing/Budget/2015 /sites/Marketing/Budget/206 /sites/maps /sites/Expesnes /sites/Expenses/2020 now i want to delete all the sub-folders if their parent folder exists? so for example the above rows should be as follow:- /sites/Marketing/Budget /sites/maps /sites/Expesnes is there any script i can run to do this cleanup? Hello everyone, I am new to Microsoft Forms and could do with some help. I have uploaded several images using the 'Upload file' tool but I need the image itself so show rather than a link. I need to be able to print the form / email it to a customer with the image showing. I have tried changing the images to a PDF and this has not worked. Can anybody help? Is Microsoft Forms even capable of doing this? Or will it show images as links only? Thanks Theo
Excel macro VBA issues
Hey guys. - I wrote a macro, which contain other macros using Call orders. If I running the macros separately everything ok, from the main macro one of them didn't running it's like it skipped from the list. Reason unknown. -On running I can see 4 application window get visible, and those didn't connect any kind of application. Also a Clipboard error message get visible, but I get a Clipboard cleaning macro, which several times cleaning the Clipboard, so it can't be. It's like a hack, or something which I don't recognize. - One a sheets called Total, I can't use the built in group function and can't collapse the selected section so the project I working on lost functionality. I didn't make any change on that side, but previously it was useable. Thanks for help in advance. Cheers. Zsolt
