Almost too easy

I travelled to Japan in October 2025 and despite having physical SIMs arranged through my travel provider, I purchased an unlimited data eSIM for my trip anyway as I was not sure how much data I would need or use and I didn't want to end up lost somewhere in Japan with no data left to navigate back to my hotel or to get my flight information etc to get back.
They also offered a free small data global SIM on sign up to test the service, which was a handy bonus as I was able to use this in Shanghai while waiting for my connecting flight.

I will definitely use them again in the future.

COSMOTE in Greece not working

(Using this eSIM in Greece) I never had so much trouble getting the eSIM to work. It took lengthy WhatsApp chats and dozens of changes to settings until I finally got a working signal. But most annoying and reason for one star: despite advertising this eSIM to include COSMOTE as a network provider, the only working providers are Vodafone and Nova. You can select COSMOTE from the manual list of providers but the signal is zero. Unfortunately, in the area where I am, COSMOTE is the only provider with a stable connection, and I chose this eSIM specifically for including them. You can get Vodafone and Nova with cheaper eSims …
