For example, instead of “I took a cs class”, rephrase to “demonstrated strong analytic abilities and problem solving skills through (something you did in the class) …”

Refine is perhaps the best key word here. Start simply with "Tell me about yourself". Now see the different versions you tell, about yourself, each time someone asks. Refine is all about telling exactly the same thing even after asking a 100 time. It is about you, so why so many definitions of yourself. That does not mean you have to mug those lines, but then communication is all about how refined you say those. How appealing and simple it is for others, how connecting it is for you first and for them. Now, reread your resume and see if words can be worded accordingly. All the best!
