Built with Python, Streamlit, Gemini LLM, and ChromaDB, this project explores how AI can transform education into a personalized, interactive, and progress-aware experience. 🚀 Built a Snake Game AI using Reinforcement Learning!
I recently worked on a small but exciting project where an AI learns to play the classic Snake game using the Q-Learning reinforcement learning algorithm.
Instead of manually programming the moves, the agent learns through trial and error, improving its strategy over time to maximize rewards and survive longer in the environment.

• Implemented a custom Snake environment using Python and Pygame
• Trained an AI agent using Q-Learning
• Designed a state representation with food direction and danger detection
• Reward system: +10 for food, −10 for collision, small step penalty for efficiency

From a Few Months to 1 Week: How a "Toy" Project Revolutionized My Engineering Workflow and How I Plan to Master the Next Frontier: Reinforcement Learning.
About 7 years ago, I built a world in Microsoft Paint.
It was a simple obstacle course where I trained virtual “cars” to drive using Genetic Algorithms (GA).
It was a breakthrough moment for me: seeing those pixels "learn" complex and unintuitive techniques eventually inspired a professional project that cut my antenna development time from months to a single week, optimizing over an unimaginably large solution space.
But GA has its limits. It only learns at the end of the episode - it’s survival of the fittest, but it doesn't understand why a specific turn was good until the race is over.
I have a few ideas I want to test, but first, I want to experiment with RL a little bit. I will start this journey by implementing and experimenting with Deep Q-Networks (DQN).
The most intriguing part of DQN for me is how, unlike my old GA projects, DQN allows an agent to learn while the simulation is still running.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be building a new RL project on GitHub and documenting the process here. I’m starting with the foundations: Experience Replay and Target Networks.

I recently built an AI-based video colorization pipeline that transforms black-and-white video into color using Google Colab, PyTorch, FFmpeg, and DeOldify.
I started by understanding the full video workflow step by step. The first idea was to break the video into individual frames, process those frames, and then stitch them back together into a final video. That helped me understand that a video is really a sequence of images, and that frame extraction and reconstruction are a key part of many computer vision pipelines.
From there, I explored DeOldify, an open-source deep learning project designed for image and video colorization. I used it because training a colorization model from scratch would require a large dataset, significant GPU resources, and much more time. DeOldify already provides a pretrained model, which made it a practical choice for focusing on the pipeline itself: environment setup, model integration, inference, and output generation.
One of the biggest challenges was the setup process. I initially explored different platforms for GPU access, faced runtime and access limitations, and eventually moved to Google Colab to get a stable GPU environment. I also ran into compatibility issues between the older DeOldify codebase and newer PyTorch behavior, which meant I had to debug the workflow and apply fixes so the model could load correctly.
The final pipeline looked like this:-
1)upload the black-and-white input video
2)prepare the Colab GPU environment
3)install dependencies like FFmpeg and DeOldify
4)load the pretrained DeOldify video colorization model process the video
5)generate the final colorized output
This project gave me hands-on experience in:
1)video preprocessing
2)frame-based workflow understanding
3)pretrained model integration
4)GPU-based inference
5)debugging real-world compatibility issues
6)building an end-to-end AI pipeline
What I liked most about this project was that it was not just about using a model, but about understanding how the full system works from input to final output.

📚 What I Learned Today: Adversarial Search in AI
While studying the course CS50’s Introduction to Artificial Intelligence with Python, I explored an interesting concept called Adversarial Search.
Adversarial Search is used in AI systems where multiple agents compete against each other, such as in games like Chess, Tic-Tac-Toe, or Checkers.
🔹 Key Idea
One player tries to maximize the score (MAX) while the opponent tries to minimize it (MIN).
To make optimal decisions, AI builds a Game Tree that represents all possible moves and outcomes.
💡 Minimax Algorithm
The most common algorithm used in adversarial search is the Minimax Algorithm.
• MAX player chooses the move with the highest value
• MIN player chooses the move with the lowest value
This allows the AI to assume that the opponent will also play optimally.
⚡ Optimization: Alpha-Beta Pruning
The problem with Minimax is that the game tree can become extremely large.
To solve this, we use Alpha-Beta Pruning, which skips branches that cannot influence the final decision.
This dramatically improves performance while producing the same optimal result.

Movie Recommendation System 🍿
Excited to share my latest project - an AI-powered Movie Recommendation System built using Python and Streamlit.
With thousands of movies available across multiple streaming platforms, selecting the right movie can often feel overwhelming. This project demonstrates how machine learning–based recommendation systems can personalize suggestions and make content discovery easier for users.
✨ Key Highlights:
• Built a content-based recommendation engine using cosine similarity
• Developed an interactive multi-page Streamlit web application
• Designed a clean and cinematic UI for an engaging user experience
• Successfully deployed the model on Hugging Face for easy access and real-time interaction
Working on this project helped me strengthen my understanding of recommendation systems, model deployment, and building user-friendly AI applications.

I built a Game-Theory-Optimal (GTO) AI to mathematically solve… the Club Penguin minigame Card-Jitsu. 🐧🔥💧❄️
What most people remember as a simple Rock-Paper-Scissors game is actually a complex system of imperfect information, depleting decks, power cards, tie-breaker mechanics, and simultaneous decision-making.
As an engineering student, I wanted to see if I could build a Python engine that plays the game optimally. The project escalated fast.
Here’s what the solver does:
• True Outs & Expected Value: Exhaustive simulation of future draws to compute real Phase 1 and Phase 2 equity
• Bayesian Opponent Modelling: Dynamic probability updates based on player behaviour
• Matrix Warping: Power cards rewrite the fundamental payoff matrix in real time
• Counterfactual Regret Minimisation (CFR): Millions of self-play iterations to converge toward mathematically unexploitable strategies (Nash equilibrium)
The wildest result?
The AI learned when playing mathematically “weak” cards produces the highest EV - because tie-breaker and power-card mechanics flip the logic entirely. Watching the CFR model learn to exploit those structures was unreal.

Production-Ready Machine Learning Model #1 Released
During this blessed month, I’ll be sharing three production-ready Machine Learning models.
The first one is already live, a Sentiment Analysis Classifier trained on IMDb reviews.
It automatically detects whether a review or comment is positive or negative.
This model can be applied across multiple platforms, including:
– Movie & TV show review platforms
– Mobile app reviews
– Product review platforms (e-commerce feedback)
– Social media comments and discussions
– General user feedback systems
To make it more useful, I also included clear documentation and the real code so you can understand how the model was built and use it to expand your Machine Learning knowledge.
