The site helps R bloggers and users to connect and follow the \u201cR blogosphere\u201d (you can view a 7 minute talk, from useR2011, for\u00a0<a style=\"color: #205b87;\" title=\"About the R-blogosphere\" href=\"http:\/\/www.r-statistics.com\/2011\/10\/the-present-and-future-of-the-r-blogosphere-a-7-minute-lightning-talk-from-user2011\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">more information about the R-blogosphere<\/a>).<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h4 style=\"color: #222222;\">How does R-Bloggers operate?<\/h4>\r\n<p style=\"color: #444444;\">This site will aggregate feeds (only with permission!) from participating R blogs. The beginnings of each participating blog\u2019s posts will automatically be displayed on the main page; inside every post there is a link to the \u00a0original blog and links to other related articles.\u00a0 All participating blogs will have links in the \u201cContributors\u201d section of our sidebar<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h4 style=\"color: #222222;\">What does R-Bloggers offer you?<\/h4>\r\n<ul style=\"color: #444444;\">\r\n \t<li><strong>Discover (for all):\u00a0<\/strong>Find new R blogs you didn\u2019t know about. And Search in them for content you want.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Follow (for people who don\u2019t use RSS):\u00a0<\/strong>Enter your e-mail and subscribe to receive a daily digest with teasers of new posts from participating blogs.\u00a0 You will more easily get a sense of hot topics in the R blogosphere.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Connect (for facebook users):\u00a0<\/strong>Click on \u201cFan this site\u201d to become a \u201cfan\u201d of R Bloggers.\u00a0 You can then \u201cfriend\u201d other people and share thoughts on our wall. Or just by leaving comments on the original poster&#8217;s blog.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Participate (for bloggers):\u00a0<\/strong>Add your R blog to get increased visibility (for readers and search engines) with permanent links on our Contributors section.\u00a0 Your blog will also gain visibility via our e-mail digest and through your presence on the main page with posts.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4 style=\"color: #222222;\">How do I become a participating blog in R Bloggers?<\/h4>\r\n<p style=\"color: #444444;\">To add your blog, simply click on\u00a0<a style=\"color: #b60000;\" title=\"Dance Bloggers: Add your blog!\" href=\"https:\/\/www.r-bloggers.com\/add-your-blog\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Add your blog!<\/a>\u00a0and enter the required information.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"color: #444444;\">R-bloggers is R centric and therefor only accept posts which are\u00a0<strong>directly\u00a0<\/strong>related to R. That means that your posts (often) need to either have R code in them (or at least say the word \u201cR\u201d), or deal with the R system, R implementation of some interesting case study, or the R community. General (non R related) posts about statistics, programming or life do not belong here.
