Link of the Day Sept 18 2010: From one crisis to a different crisis: a sober Marxist view of our current global economic crisis by David Harvey, noted urban geographer and anthropologist, in an interview with the International Socialist Review. I urge readers to look at this: Harvey says the measures taken so far have led to a coming crisis of unemployment as the people struggle against the assumption that they have to pay for the crisis, rather than the bankers, speculators and financiers who have profited from it. In other words, a renewal of the class struggle on which, he says, all prosperity up to 1970s was based.
