Capital One Launchpad: Legacy & Leadership Program will offer 50 selected students enrolled at a HACU-Member Institution an opportunity to embark on an extensive and immersive personal, professional, and technical development journey under the leadership of Capital One associates
Selected scholars will participate in a fully-expensed five-day immersion experience along with 50 students from the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF). The joint immersion experience is focused on career exploration and professional development. Students will have the opportunity to work directly with designated Capital One associates who will guide them toward a final capstone presentation that will conclude the week’s events. Stipends will also be administered to the students who complete the Immersion Experience.
HACU students selected to attend the Immersion Experience are also sponsored to attend the ¡Adelanteǃ Leadership Institute at HACU’s 40th Annual Conference, October 30 – November 2, 2026, at the Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center in Chula Vista, California.
Program Overview
- Capital One will lead a resume workshop for students selected to the Launchpad Program, helping them prepare competitive applications for Capital One’s internship programs.
- The program includes full-day activities, extending into the evening.
- Travel, lodging, and meal expenses will be fully covered for all selected participants.
- Students who complete the program will receive a stipend.

How can a student submit a strong application?
Make sure your resume is updated with all leadership positions including competitions and immersion programs you have participated in. Take time writing your essay. Make sure it is complete, personalized, and that you answer all of the prompts.
How will students be notified of their selection?
Students will receive official acceptance notifications by mid-to-late March 2026.
Can students with evening virtual classes participate?
It will be difficult to manage classes during the program due to the evening schedule.
Are there security clearance requirements for Capital One internships?
Some roles may require additional steps, but details will be provided during the internship application process.
Application Qualifications 
- Must be a rising sophomore or juniorÂ
- Must have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0Â
- Must attend a TMCF or HACU-affiliated college or university Â
- Must be available to travel and fully engage in the immersion from 07/13/2026 – 07/17/2026
- Must be a U. S. CitizenÂ
