Perched above the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean, Corona del Mar lives up to its name, “Crown of the Sea.” Locals call it “CdM,” and though the chic hamlet is part of Newport Beach, this neighborhood has an aesthetic all its own, with vintage cottages and stunning new houses side-by-side on flower-named residential streets.
PLAY
The typically gentle waves make Corona del Mar great for swimming, with volleyball courts and fire pits. The crystal-clear water at Little Corona is great for snorkeling, as well as spotting sea urchins and anemones in the tidepools – but please leave the animals, shells, and rocks where they are in this no-take preserve.
STAY
Known for luxury, you’ll find the perfect hotel or resort for your elevated experience when you stay in Corona del Mar.
SHOP
There’s plenty of shopping to be done along PCH when you visit Corona del Mar. Brides-to-be will want to visit The White Dress while those with a taste for luxury should check out On Que Style, the insider’s spot for flawless resale.
