- [Instructor] As you move forward in your career in banking, try to keep in mind the power of Excel. Excel's a critical tool for almost every sector of the financial industry. The specific models you're going to build of course are going to vary based on the area that you're in and maybe even the company that you're with but the concepts and the use cases, the opportunities to use it, will be constant. So my suggestion to you would be get familiar with the formulas and the shortcuts that are most useful for the models that you build in your area. Now, some of these of course, ranging from things like offset and indirect to sumifs or vlookups, they're going to be useful everywhere. But there are also going to be specifics that are useful to you in particular. More importantly though, don't just focus on the formulas. As hopefully you've seen in this course, a lot of Excel is really about understanding it for the blank canvas…
