- [Instructor] In this course, we'll be working with an installation of Ubuntu Server in a virtual lab environment. I'll also be using an Ubuntu Desktop client as well. To follow along with me in this course, I expect you to be familiar with the command line and with managing services. We'll also get into some ideas around networking and network administration. If you haven't watched it already and if you're new to working with Linux systems, be sure to take a look at the first course in this series, Ubuntu Linux: Essential Commands and System Administration. That course covers some Linux system basics that you'll need to know. This course is a look at the basics of starting up various common services, so we won't be diving into the details of each service. Take a look at our courses that go into the details of each service if you're interested in learning more about them. In the next video, we'll spend some time setting up our virtual lab using the VirtualBox virtualization software.
