Why did they change it????
The old formula which was in a package with Orange labeling was the best product ever! It gave me beautiful curls that lasted for days and were soft to the touch. The new formula which has a blue label, is just not the same. No strong cast, dries my hair out, and my curls have unclumped and are frizzy in the first day. So disappointing!
Just ain't cutting it

I have 2b/2c curls that tend to go flat on day 2. Creams are too heavy, so I've been on the hunt for a true strong-hold gel. I wanted to like this so badly!!!! I have no issue with the smell or texture of the gel, but it just isn't holding my curls after 3 wash day attempts--used it this morning and I've already lost so much volume and definition :( Maybe this works better on curlier hair types, but sadly my hunt continues.

My hair feels so hydrated with my routine until this product! It immediately makes my waves/curls feel dry!

I have loved this product for YEARS, and finally had my "holy grail" product - strong hold, cast that I was able to break, and most importantly I only needed this one styling product. They changed the formula. It feels normal until I scrunch in my hair, and it thens soapy. Hands covered in suds, hair like it has bubbles popping… its terrible. Tried a few times to make sure it wasnt operator error and its not.
