Read (in French) Rare flavors, written by Ram V and drawn by Filipe Andrade, a fabulous BD on Indian cuisine(s)!, albeit biased towards North-West India! After reading a raving review in the weekend edition of Le Monde. While it is hard to classify it as a cooking book (with only six recipes, incl. masala chai and dahl), the celebration of Indian cooking and the humour of the story make it a great book. And, who knows, I may try cooking the lamb raan one of these days.

Speaking of which, I made plenty of new dishes since the beginning of the year, including the Aubrac (Central France) aligot, a mix of mashed potatoes and fresh tomme de Laguiole, a (delayed Xmas) full-Indian dinner with chicken korma, lamb biryani, coconut dahl, and okra curry, with fresh chapatis. Tried to make brunost from whey (leftover from skyr making!) but it did not work well. While brown, it tasted rather sour, maybe for being overly reduced.
Watched early episodes of a Japanese cold case series, Okura (オクラ), that is very light on the scenario and rather poor on the acting
